Yes, that's me # 14 running with the ball in high school. I was the quarterback and captain of my football team. I was pure jock! The more sports I could find to do the better. I was also captain of my track team and received 11 varsity letters while in school. I was voted most athletic boy in my high school. I also played college football (Bucknell University) until I received a "career ending" injury. After dislocating my shoulder several times I could no longer throw the ball so I retreated to the stands to watch my teammates roll on to victory (sometimes). I loved running with the ball, creating strategies to beat our opponents and generally working with a team to make things happen. One of my greatest strengths was the ability to take sometimes chaotic or complex information and reduce it to clear next steps. That was a huge help in both unifying my own team and in successfully working on the competition. I was always a leader including being class president and opening my first restaurant at age 23. Actually, I was so eager to start my business that I dropped out of college after three years so I could hurry up and get my first business started. I spent about five years building that first business and then sold it at a nice little profit. All told, I opened eight restaurants over a twenty year period (3 were my own). I also opened and ran a food manufacturing business, which I sold after 14 years. All of my experience in the food business involved Mexican food. I was one of the first to introduce Mexican foods to the Northeast. It was all quite exciting and
challenging and it brought me some other benefits as well, especially as the
result of that first restaurant. It was
located on Cape Cod, which meant lots of business and lots of fun and
interesting girls. The girl I found most interesting was one of my waitresses. I
married her two years after hiring her. She brought a daughter with her and we had three more
together making a grand total of four amazing girls (now women) that I had the privilege
of building a family with. Unfortunately, my wife died from cancer in 1998 after we were together for
over 26 years. I also lost my big sister and best friend that same year. It took me some years and lots of support to
recover from that catastrophe. As many people know, the effects of those kinds
of losses can last a long time. On the right are my daughters and I together for a recent Christmas. I have a strong suspicion that one or more of them will also be very successful entrepreneurs and/or professionals in their fields. They have the same kind of drive that I do to live fully and explore all kinds of opportunities. In my current business. I work in a variety of ways all designed to support the development of people's inspired ideas. I have found it extremely thrilling to get others on board with my projects and I would love to work with you so that the people you need are on board with you. I feel very good about the quality of the products and services that I offer and love to hear that clients are very satisfied. I look forward to working with you to help open the doors for the next steps in your project and your dreams!
